Types of Computer According to Size.

According to Size there are mainly five tpes of computer.

1:- Mainframe Computer :- Mainframe computer is big size computer and 100-110 terminal (keyboard+monitor) connected in One computer.and is so costly  so only big all companies can purchase mainframe computer.

2:- Mini Computer :- In Mini computer we can  connect 10-12 terminal. and 10-12 person can do work on mini computer at a time.

3:- Micro Computer :- In  micro computer we can connect only one terminal and one person can do work on micro computer at a time.

4:- Personal Computer :- Personal computer is a common computer of today. and  In all type working department use personal computer.

5:- Laptop :- laptop is also called notebook and  we can all types of working in laptop. it is easy to put one place to another place.and CPU,monitor, keyboard, mouse is commanded in laptop.

6:- Tab late :- Tab late is also a computer and we can do all work on tab late by touch fingers.

Computer Hardware & Software

Computer Hardware :- Parts of computer ,which we can see and touch is called computer hardware.

 Ex- CPU, monitor, keyboard,mouse,printer,speaker,mike,scanner,joysticks etc.

Computer Software :- computer software run on hardware. and mainly two type of softer use in computer.

1. System Software :- System software is run on hardware and it's work operate computer.

Ex.- operating system, compiler, utilities program etc.

2. Application Software :- Application software is use for main completing main work on computer.

Ex- M.S. office,Tally,Coral draw,Photoshop,Pagemaker etc.

Structure of Computer

Any computer  complete with some  parts,it is called structure of computer :-

Input :-  input is any data-instruction,you entered in to the memory of computer.users can input data and instructions using a variety of techniques.

keyboard,mouse,mike,joysticks,camera,scanner etc.use as a  input devices.

Output :- computer is fed with a lot of date to be processed and organised.the data that has been processed int to a useful form is called output. A computer generates several types of  out put depending on the hardware and software being used and the requirements of the user.

Monitor, printer, Speaker etc.use as a output devices.

Processor :-

processor is known as a CPU and it brain of compute. Most of the devices connected to the computer communicate with the CPU in order to carry  out a task.the speed of a CPU Chip is measured in Gigahertz
(G Hz) 1.0,2.0,3.0 G Hz Processor use in compute now.

Memory :-memory plays a very important role in a computer.memory holds both  data that needs to processed,as well as the data that has already been processed.this memory is a temporary storage place for data, instructions and information.
memory is measured in byte.and -

              8 bits   = 1 byte
         1024 bytes  = 1 kilobyte (KB)
        1024 Kilobytes  =  1 mega byte (MB)
1024 mega bytes =  1 gega byte (GB)
1024 gega bytes  =  1 Tera byte (TB)

Software :- software or program, enable a computer to perform specific tasks,as opposed to the physical components of the system (hardware). this includes application software such as a word processor, which enables a user to perform a task, and system software such as an operating system, which enable other software to run properly,by interfacing with hardware and with other software of custom software made to user specifications.you can  use software to write letters, manage you finances, draw pictures, play games,
maintain data, create and edit photo and much more.

Genrations of computer

First - Generation :-
First-generation computers, starting with the UNI VAC I in 1951, used vacuum tubes  and their memories were made of thin tubes of liquid mercury and magnetic drums.

Second-Generation :-

Second-generation systems in the late 1950s replaced tubes with transistors and used magnetic cores for meomories.size was reduced and reliability was significantly improved.

Third-Generation :-

Third-generation computers, beginning in the mid-1960s,used the first integrated circuits and the first operating systems. online systems were widely developed, although most processing was still batch oriented,
using punched cards and magnetic tapes.

Fourth-Generation :-

The fourth-generation which start in the mid-1970s,brought us computers made entirely of chips.
it spawned the microprocessor and personal computer.it introduced distributed processing and office automation. for the first time,Query languages, report writers and spreadsheets put large number of people in touch with the computer.

Five-Generation :-

Fifth-generation computer are expected to combine very large-scale integration with sophisticated approaches to computing, including artificial intelligence and true  distributed processing.

What is Computer ?

A Computer is an  electronic machine, operating under the control of instructions stored in its own memory.
that can accept data(input),manipulate the data according to specified rules(process),produce results(output),
and store the results for future use.
